MediaKrytyka (Media-Criticism)  journal  was  founded in 2003 by Media Ecology Institute, which is  based at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and West-Ukrainian Media Center “New Journalism”.

Essays and articles on mass media and communication and mass media problems are published quarterly in print issues and posted online.
